Hold is a contemplative thinking application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• First name and last name (optional)
• Phone number (optional)
• Profile display name (optional)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Content You Create

• Contemplations (seed thoughts)
• Journal entries (reflections, fragments, questions, shifts)
• Meditation session records (duration, completion)

Device Information

• Push notification token (if you enable notifications)
• Device platform (iOS or Android)

• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers
• Analytics or tracking data
• Usage patterns or behavioral data

Your data is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the app functionality
• Sync your contemplations and entries across devices
• Send push notifications when you opt in
• Authenticate your identity

We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses enterprise-grade PostgreSQL databases with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices.

Your content is private by default. Only you can see your contemplations and entries.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (contemplations, entries, meditation records, profile information) is permanently deleted.

You have the right to:

• Access your data at any time through the app
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your contemplations and entries (contact us)
• Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings

Hold is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Expo — push notifications
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or via email.
